- glucose-> pyruvate
- 2 ATP are added
- 2 NADH are produced
- 4 ATP are produced
- 2 pyruvates are formed
- krebs(TCA or citric acid) cycle-3 carbon
- OAA+ (pyruvate with coenzyme A->) acetyl coa->citrate->start
- result: 3 NADH, 1 FADH2, 1 ATP, CO2
3. Oxidative phosphorylation
Krebs cycle
NADH, FADH2 give electrons, and these electrons energy in ADP to ATP along with ETC
NADH provides electrons to generate about 3 ATP, while FADH2 generates about 2 ATP
